Kevin is an Auburn man through and through. Growing up in Augusta, Georgia, his dad — an Auburn grad, class of 1950 — made sure to take him to Auburn games and instilled a love for Auburn at an early age. Kevin went on to graduate from Auburn himself, and he's made his home in the loveliest village on the Plains ever since.

Why Tiger Taxi?

This was way before Uber. There was nothing in this area to get people home at night, so students usually just drove home — even if they had been drinking.

"I started it because I thought it was a great idea to promote safety by preventing drunk driving."

It worked. The police and the bars used Tiger Taxi to help keep things in check, and during the day the company steadily helped people without cars get to work and to doctor's appointments.

From one taxi to central Alabama's largest fleet

Kevin has spent almost his whole life running limousine, bus and shuttle companies. Tiger Taxi grew into Tiger Limousine: black cars to the airport and to events of every kind, limousines for weddings and parties, three party buses for any group size, and shuttle buses for big moves like fraternity and sorority formals. Lots of couples now skip the getaway car and keep the party going on a party bus after the reception.

Today it's the largest transportation company in central Alabama, so there's no event too big. Auburn Shuttle brings that same fleet and that same team to one job: getting Auburn and Opelika travelers to ATL, Columbus, Birmingham and Montgomery on their schedule.

Life off the road

The life of an entrepreneur can be lonely. In 2022 Kevin met Robin, a librarian and archivist, on Hinge, and they married in 2023. Today they're raising their kids together — and their two dogs: Virgil, the alarm, and Hershel, the attack dog.

When he's not running the business, you'll find Kevin rooting for Auburn sports, playing pickleball and putting together toys for his kids.

Giving back

Kevin supports the Women's Philanthropy Board, St. Michael's Church, Storybook Farm and Wikipedia. And every year, kids who win their school reading contests get something special: a free limo ride.
